It can be very distressing if you have been accused of rape, sexual assault, sexual harassment, relationship abuse or stalking.

The University will not make assumptions on the relative merits of a complaint.  No party will be considered ‘at fault’ until a complaint has been investigated.  All those involved in a complaint will be treated fairly and offered advice and support. Find out more on the University Policy.

It might be useful to think about some some of the behaviours that describe:

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THERE IS A REPORT MADE AGAINST ME?

When a report is made about a student or member of staff, there are procedures which set out the steps that the University may take. Should it need to be, a fair internal investigation will take place. Where behaviour is found to breach RGU policies disciplinary action may be taken.

We will utilise our existing University disciplinary procedures if appropriate.

If a report is received where the University believes there is an ongoing situation where there may be danger to the reporter or anyone else we are obliged to pass that report on externally, for example to the Police, and/or internally within the University.

Please refer to our Policies and Procedures page for more information.
