If you are supporting someone with any issues related to Gender Based Violence, Bullying, Hate Crime and Harassment, it is important to look after yourself.

When talking to the person you are supporting, it is important that you listen to them, and be open to what they are telling you. Try not to ask for a lot of detail, and make it clear that you are ready to listen whenever they want to talk, and offer practical support, such as directing them to the online Report and Support system, or providing the details of specialist support services.

These tips on starting a conversation might help you to support them.
